Interview for Student Reasoning (IfSR)
The Interview for Student Reasoning - Number and place value (IfSR-NP)and the Interview for Student Reasoning - Additive thinking (IfSR-AT) are the first two assessments in a series of on-demand assessments developed by the DoE that enable teachers to hear and see how students apply their mathematical understandings.
The assessments are mapped to the NSW Mathematics K-10 Syllabus and the Numeracy Learning Progressions, with assessment information automatically recorded in PLAN2.

Viewing student results in PLAN2
1. Enter PLAN2 via ALAN
2. Select 'Browse by Assessments'
2. Select 'Browse by Assessments'
3. Select relevant 'Year level', 'Class or group' and 'Students'
4. In 'Domain', select 'Numeracy'
5. Select the relevant assessment and click 'Generate Class Observations'
